Springs can vary wildly, from highs in the 80s to highs in the 30s, although this happens more in March and not at all in May, when it's typically steadily warmer. January is the snowiest month, averaging about 10-11". 6"+ events are actually more rare than people think, occurring on average only once every 1 or 2 winters.
Snowfall averages about 28-29" per winter, most coming in smaller 1-3" events. Winters are generally cold and somewhat gray, though not nearly as gray as those areas closer to the Lake. Columbus has a typical continental climate, meaning 4 distinct seasons.
